This fall we’ve focused on Hebrews 6:19 – 20a. “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us.”
I’ve enjoyed pondering and writing about the need for our anchoring! This time of year it is easy to feel like we are being carried away by shopping, parties, hosting family, and all the other busyness that fills our days. We need to be sure we remain anchored in Jesus.
Jesus is the reason for the season, AND He is the reason for every other season.
Jesus is the baby born in Bethlehem, AND the Son of Man crucified to take away our sins.
Jesus is our resurrected Savior, AND He is our anchor for today and forever.
May this Christmas and New Year give you many opportunities to reflect on all the ways Jesus is your anchor. The hope He provides is strong and trustworthy and just what we need to lead each of us into 2020.
Serving with Love,
Elizabeth
